Right after shoveling the driveway, last night, I was taken by the warm glow of the garage light and the TR3 "floating" in its stall.
Just got a new phone -- with a camera on it -- so I can document things like this more easily.

The car will float there til Spring. The Winter projects include:
Rebuild the whining rear axle.
Check around inside the transmission (pops out of second)& clutch (sometimes slips).
Put TR4 parts in the front suspension for caster angle.
Wiring improvements -- relays and more/better stop/turn lighting.
Possible radiator re-core?

...rust-proofing the van....

A bit late, but happy Thanksgiving to all -not especially anyone (having just taken a 1.5 hour drive with the top down).

The only way that photo could be enhanced, is if the light were emanating from the hovering TR3 like a halo, as if it were some kind of angle, instead of from the work bench. Not that the glow of fresh snow isn't enchanting enough.
 
There's at LEAST two more years left in that van before it completely dissolves. It's got 242,XXX on it already. I've made the decision to save money for its eventual replacement rather than fix anything that isn't actually disabling it.
 
Just funnin' with you, Moses! I'm currently driving an 81 Toyota pickup that's not too different.

In all candor, my Spider is in much the same situation.
 
Yeah, when I lived in Illinois many many years ago my car looked a lot like that van! As a car nut, I think that is one piece I dearly love when putting up the heat of the south - no salt, vinyl seats don't crack when you sit on them in January, warmup time takes about 30 seconds, and this time of year is great for TRs!

That 3A looks beautiful Moses - you mention you are going to go with the later 3 degree castor setup. I've installed that on my 3A project, its an easy mod. Only thing I'm still pondering on is the brakeline - I have the 11" rotors and its a little tight where the line comes off the caliper.
