It was great to see everyone (and your cars) again. Rick - do fill us in on whether your carb/head swap worked out :smile: Talk about building suspense!
 
Yes, definitely thanks to Bill - it was a fun (as usual) and very productive day.
A non running Midget became a driver (could use some seats...) and horns got fixed and speedometers and door hinges and someon had the bright idea of replacing a cylinder head and intake and bolting on a pair of SU's - On A Datsun 1500 motor!!! (Yes folks, it can be done!)
Thanks BillM - a very good and enjoyable time had by all. :smile:
Not to mention there were some great brownies!!!
 
Well this event went pretty well!
About 6 cars,9 people (I think) and several successes.
Mike Burkhart and John (a new potential convert to LBC's) brought a '78 to try to get running (success) Bill and Andrew Loeb stopped by to give Bill's car a carb tune and socialize, BickB swapped Frankie's cylinder head and carbs to dual HIF-4's (see the other posts), Jean came by for some general small corrections to a beautiful car (I was nervous to even touch it with my dirty hands but she didn't seem to mind too much) AND she brought some killer brownies! BillW brought by his virtually perfect Bugeye for us to admire (and fix the horn).
All in all it was a great day with some clouds in the morning and some sun in the afternoon. Not a bad LBC day

It was a total hoot. Again. Great to see the owners and their cars. I always learn something even if I'm not much of a mechanic. Bill M. was his usual whirling dervish self, fixing everything that anyone could point at. We wouldn't be 1/2 as productive at these gathering without his incredible knowledge, and largess. THANX BILL!

As an aside, when Bill M. mentioned that he got the Morris Service inventory, he meant the WHOLE inventory. His garage looks much like Paul A.'s did; Stuffed to the gunnels with all sorts of everything.. washer pumps, brakes, hoses, trim, only he and Paul know what all's there. All top quality, or NOS.

Now wait a minute!! I would have been there in a heartbeat had I not been 3000 miles away in Charleston.... I mentioned that on the Spridget Autox forum.... I was really bummed I couldn't be there. Charleston is growing on me. I could be Hap's neighbor soon!
