Well after 12+ months of restoration in FLA -- I now have possesion of my '64 Sprite. Many thanks to all who helped out. I drove it around the block (my victory lap) and pulled it into the garage for some serious re-conditioning (brakes, cooling sys, etc .. -- you know the story better than do).

With a little luck and about 2/3 weeks -- I should have a road worthy "toy". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif

Congrats George!
I've been doing an on-and-off restoration on an old Sprite for one of my brothers. Far from a perfect job, I'm just doing a "20 footer". Been working on the thing for over a year now and just drove it yesterday for the first time. Two more Sprites "saved"! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Way to go!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif I am glad you got one more of these great little cars back on the road. As I write this, I am picking bits of paint off of my fingers after spending the evening applying a fresh coat of primer to the freshly stripped engine compartment of my 1960 Bugeye. Like aeronca65t, I am doing a less-than-frame-up restoration on my car...I am trying to get to the 10 foot level. I still have the hope of getting it back on the road before the end of the Summer...then into the garage for more sorting out this Winter. Enjoy your car! Give it a blast down the road for me. They really don't make 'em like this anymore.
