Many of you know that I maintain a web site www.raysmg.com with information about my ’73 Midget, ’62 Sprite, and ’60 TR3 as well as others that have passed through over the last couple years. Additionally, there are pages on documentation, my car hauler, new garage (under construction), rotisserie, etc. that I reference from time to time in my posts to the BCF.

When I retired two years ago I had, for the first time, enough time to build and maintain the site and I routinely invited you to view the items I referenced. Your response has been OVERWHELMING! The most recent status report indicates that this year, at the current access levels, my little site will serve up over 50,000 pages and in excess of 1,500,000 objects! The most commonly used search phrase is “mg midget” and using that in a Google search a year ago found my site on page 34 of the search results; I never did find my site on Yahoo. A search today using the same key will find it on page 1 of Google, yesterday appearing as the first individual (non-commercial) entry. My site has been on page 1, #1 (non-commercial) on Yahoo for a couple months now.

This is most certainly the result of friends here on the BCF utilizing the site. BCF is the #1 referring site, beating out Google and Yahoo combined, resulting in over 14,000 visits to my site over the past few months. While it has necessitated a more significant investment in bandwidth I do that gladly as well as the investment in time to reply to each and every email received.

I hope you will continue to use this reference tool and to share your suggestions for improvement with me. The site is 100% free…nothing to sell; the payback is in the friendships made and the opportunity to share.

Glad to hear your site is doing well! If you ever find yourself looking for another place to host it, I host member's sites here on my BCF servers for less than $10/mo. Just FYI.

Congrats on a great site Ray. I enjoyed browsing through it. I've added it to my links page.

I'm still envious over that car hauler!!

Great site Ray! I find myself constant refering to it when trying to figure out my Bugeye bodywork.

Thanks a TON!
