You can even cut up a car with them!
Made room for one more car today!
Made sure I cut up the right car,
would have felt bad if it was the wrong one.

I hear you. I HATE the idea of chopping up save-able cars, but if it's too far gone, the Sawzall is a great tool to slice & dice a hopeless wreck.

I just bought a Midget parts car with plans to cut it up, but it's too nice, so I'll make it a driver--I have at least one relative who'd like it.

Here's some former results from me:

Nial. the pieces in the top picture would look great hanging on the wall

YA know, I was looking at that, and,
since I have the entire Left side of the car cut off,
was thinking about some lawn art, of maybe something
in the garden until I can use the piece's.
Maybe something to test my wifes serenity,
see how much she can stand.

I'm jealous. I'm trying to save a 67 GT that is 51% steel, 25% Bondo, and 24% rust. Am I ambitious or stupid. You southwest guys get a blister on your dogleg and you scrap the thing. Again I'm Jealous not critical.

Please wear hearing protection when cutting up a car with a Sawzall. I used one to remove a couple of parts from my 4A, and the vibrations that the saw transmitted to the empty shell left my ears ringing for two days.

What did yo usay? Eah?

I LOVE my SawzAll!!

I misread this post - belatedly realized the empty shell you were referring to was the car. It always echoes louder in an empty room.

Would this be a bad time to say that the shell Dave sliced up looks (looked) a whole lot more usable than the car that's littering my driveway? Even with the crash damage. Floors... doglegs... things my car doesn't really have.

I gotta get to California fast if that's what you guys are throwing away.

It also helps if the previous owner did
not park by braille.

I don't suppose this section is good, is it? I am looking to buy this section of floorboard:

Hey, you can cut THAT with
a Sawzall! Just drill a couple holes,
then cut the whole floor pan out.
Make sure you cut extra so you can cut it down to
what you need later.
