The temp was nice yesterday so, I took the TF out yesterday for it's first long drive with the 4.1 rear in it. It performed flawlessly! We have one particular hill here that most cars running 65 MPH drop to around 53/54 when cresting the hill, I hit it at 60 and dropped to 50 at the crest, in 4th gear with a stock engine. This thing runs like a rabbit. I'm glad I didn't take heed to some of the negative inputs on putting a 4.1 in it instead of a 4.3. I have to be careful running on the flats, as this thing picks up speed with no effort, not paying attention, I looked down and was doing 70 in a 65 MPH zone. Boy do I love this car! :encouragement: PJ

Woohoo!

Nice to see someone able to get out and drive. Only thing I drove yesterday was the snow blower. :cold:

Drew, I gave my snow blower to my son in New Jersey, never wanted to see it again, but it also is getting a work out with him behind it! I think they got around 20 inches. Him and two other workers pushed snow at work for 3 days around the clock, must be nice to be young! :encouragement: PJ

Aloha Paul,

Congratulations on your drive and test run. Good to know your 4.1 rear end and stock engine are working fine together. I haven't driven mine yet with a stock engine rebuild and a 4.3 rear end. I'm hopeful I will be as pleased as you are. Unfortunately that will be several months in the future.

Dave, I think you will be very happy with a 4.3 in your car. My car has the original 1500 in it totally rebuilt and has plenty of power to pull the 4.1 gears, From what I've been hearing, it wouldn't be a good choice for a 1250.
Good luck with your car. :encouragement: PJ
