Sons U-17 team finished the season in a U-19 league with a revenge win against the team just behind them in the standings.
Last time they played, 2 red cards 5 minutes in.
This time they were able to finish the game with out to much confrontation.
Though,... while they were shaking hands . 2 brawls almost broke out.

Don,

Just what are we talking about here?I assume it was some kind of sport.
A LOT more information would be helpful.
I'm not really into sports, but have passing understanding of most of them.

Red cards ARE an effective deterrent. Not many teams win with 10 or fewer on a side.

Methinks other sports could use red cards as well, in fact, lots of other sports. Hockey, for starts.

Hope your son didn't get one . . .

. . .

Funny you say that Mark.

Last week they revenged an earlier tie even though only 10 showed up for the game.
Middle of the second half they were able to coax a red card out of the other team for arguing a yellow card. They won the game in stoppage time and they were really tired but the grins on their faces told the whole story

Ask Kyle Bush about his red card. Not harsh enough given his history, IMHO.

Thank goodness those cards were not around when elrey, "The Hatchet" was playing.

I was a goalie in the early 70's
Only went to the hospital twice

I give up. What's a U-17, what's a U-19, what's a red-card, what's a yellow-card?

Or in the case of a couple we seen.
Punch to the face
2 handed choke hold

Don,

If you're not talking about British Cars, you need to talk to us
as if you're talking to your elderly Grandmother.
And please use single syllable words! Our Granddaughter played soccer-
she's 6 years old,but I don't completely understand it.

Beside playing it in Jr High, didn't do any watching til my kids started to play about 2000 or so.
Now I prefer to sit and watch a game (or match) on TV over all other sports.
If I am watching other sports and a commercial comes on I get frustrated with them.
One of the pluses of soccer . NO COMMERCIALS

Whatsamatta wid you guys?.... I understand it all

I got home late last night from being in Richmond, VA; I officiated at the Capital Fall Classic Tournament.
The weather was perfect and the teams were good.
I did have a send-off for a second caution. Gave a yellow card for a hard foul and the young man began to applaud the caution by placing his hands in close proximity to my face and began to clap. Johnny got his second yellow for dissent and off he went.
You may need to splain it don...

Good a you, Elliot.
Love those dissent cards.
If they would have had them when I played. I could have prolly built a whole deck out of em!
