I don't mean to gloat but we did have a rare dry spring day for ProDrives Test and Tune at PIR (Portland International Raceway) yesterday. I decided to burn up a 3-year old pair of Hoosier Vintage TD's I had on my old 72 spoke rims. I was a little disappointed it didn't rain I want to test my new Avon's........not really I'll take a dry day at the track everytime.

I was surprised how much the wires flexed after running on the Superlites the last few years. You can hear the tires rubbing on the wheel wells through the corners. The old rubber had about 50% tread left and I was very happy that the motor improvements carried out over the winter resulted in a 2 second improvement on my previous best time.

Nice! I'm still six weeks away from our first event.
(if you don't count driving our 1902 Olds "replica" in the St. Patrick's Day parade next week....I get the wire wheels flexing on that too) :jester:

Jeff -

The beauty of it is the camera is just a Flip Video Ultra HD. I love it, so easy to use and down load onto
my MAC to edit a weekend worth of races. Great sound and picture. It just took a little while to find the best way and place to mount it.

Jeff:

I figured you were asking dougie so I let him answer...

But I'll give another vote for Flip cameras.
Mine is the cheaper (non-HD) Flip ($80 at Wal-Mart) and I have been very happy with it.

I have recommended Flips (both HD or regular) to all my racing friends and I know at least two friends who have bought them and raved over them. I built my own roll bar mount for about $5.

I also have the GoPro camera. Great mounting system but (in my opinion) the actual camera is poor. I never use it and am sorry I bought it.

Here's one of my Flip vids (using free MS Moviemaker to edit)
