For purely aesthetic reasons, this is probably the only 'lectric car currently on the market that I would consider owning...

One of the things I do NOT like is the use of a a touch screen display to control nearly everything in the car. Some physical tactile controls for the climate controls, and physical knobs and buttons for other commonly accessed items would make it easier to drive and keep eyes on the road...

That said, it's still too expensive to even consider from an affordability stand point.

Reminds me of a friend who decided to heat his garage with passive solar. Paid over $7500 for three "hang on the south wall" units.

He figures it'll pay for itself in just over 37 years.

Thanks for the car lesson, Rob. I wasn't aware of the sedans from them. Doubt if I will see a decent sized affordable electric in my lifetime. And that is a shame because my limited daily use would make one very tempting.

Like the early gas powered car, it's very expensive technology at this point -- definitely not a mass-audience product yet. Still, I'm glad to see companies trying some things and pushing the technology forward. The functionality (if not the cost) of electric cars is almost to the point where it would fit my commuting use case.

Always good to see folks trying something different.

I, and Jay Leno apparently, prefer this model. It is a 1909 Baker Electric, has a range of 110 miles and a top speed of 25 MPH. It is not fast but fast enough to get you around in town.

There is a Tesla S dealership not far from here......in a mall!! Seriously, they have a store front in a mall. It's literally a car boutique. Walk in, "I'd like that color, that interior, those accessories...." and they deliver to your house (well maybe not the delivery part). Definitely thinking outside the box.....
