Well, I got my top finished mounting today and took care of another few things. The only big items left are the seat belts and the seat, then lots of little odds and ends. I decided to treat myself by putting the 5 gallons of premium that I have had in a can for a while into the Midget and checking things out. Guess what, the gas gauge works  I fired it up and took it for a spin up and down my drive (about 1/10 mile long) Still with a straight pipe but now with all the interior in it and the top on and up so it wouldn't be so cold. I warmed it up and then gave it a little heck. I have not checked my speedo with my gps yet but I was up to near 60 and still in second gear with more to go. I got some of the neighbors out of the house  I was so tempted to take it for a spin down the road, but I need to wait and finish and get all legal with that before I do. It was fun. Oh, but the last thing I did was put the windows up from inside and I opened and shut the passenger door so the glass would be on the correct side of the top and I broke the door pull :frown: Dang, its always something. I hope those type pulls are still available. The chrome hinge pieces are fine, just the bloody plastic that broke.

Kim, I have door pulls in my '69 "Hunk 'o Junk" in the back yard!! You are welcome to one! Just PM me! Sounds like you had some fun in the driveway! They always sound SO good on straight pipes, don't they!!!

Sorry about the door pull, but a big old WOOHOO on the spin around the neighborhood!

Aren't there metal door pulls that have the same spacing?

Ahhh... So Nice!!!

Excellent, progress and a drive is always nice.

Supposed to be nice all evenings this week and I hope to get it out in the warm sun and wash the top good and clean the windows and then lower it and get the wife to help me set the seats in it. I think I am going to have to put the seats in to see how the new seat belts are going to work.

Go for it. $28 the pair, you know you want them. LOL

Yes, I want them, but the wife is wanting heat. I just sticked my oil tank and we got 6 inches of K1 left and that stuff is outragious right now. 250 gallons is gonna wet me back. I am hoping it will last us the rest of the winter alnog with the wood stove but if not, my wife won't see the concern for the door handles
