Terrible car accident

Yesterday I had my scanner on at my shop when the emer. sound came on reporting a head-on crash. They then went to a discreet channel but we heard multiple units responding..this was about 1115am. An hour or so later my daughter, who works as an executive asst. for a local cellular comp. called me to say she had been visiting one of the company stores just acroos the border in Texas and was returning to her headquarters building when she saw a plume of black smoke just ahead of her. Seconds later she rolled up to the carnage where she saw a woman lying in the road and her husband standing dazed next to a destroyed vehicle. She ran to the lady and then to the man, both injured but non life threatening. She then saw what looked like a sports car upright but totally destroyed and on fire about 30feet or so out in a field. She ran to it and found the passenger terribly injured hanging from the door with the seat belt around his neck. She secred him and got a weak pulse. She then ran to the driver who was also bad..pulse but a blown pupil. At that time another motorist pulled up and they got the passenger out. Another man puled up and they tried to remove the driver but had to enter through the passenger side and started cutting the seat belt...thats when the gas tank blew. It forced them back for a short time but using an extinguiser finally got the driver out. She held his head still and talked to him until EMS got there. They had her hold his head and push IV fluid and then the chopper landed. She held him as they loaded him and took him to a trauma center in Tx. After that she returned to work and called me, her mother and her brother. As of this moment everyone is alive but the two young men are critical. We're proud that we raised a level headed, caring daughter...not afraid to do whats right.

Thank God she was there and had the presence of mind to do what was needed! You should be proud!

Wow that's really terrific what she did and thankfully all are OK.

We're more than proud. We're trying to think of doing something for Tammy and her family. Every year my wife and I travel to Fl. to visit my sister, but we're thinking of suprising her with a trip for her and her husband Gary..and between us and the other grandparents guarding the nest for them..our trip can wait till later.

Jack, that is truly a daughter to be proud of. You did good. She did even better.

Definitely a child to be proud of, Jack. You done raised her right.

What a great Christmas story for your family to always have.

merry Christmas,

dale & Wendy

and Happy Birthday

 As parents, you done good! A daughter to be proud of for sure.

Congratulations on her heroics and for raising such a brave daughter.

May God bless you all and the victims of the crash. They have survived, no doubt, due to her efforts.

Wow! I probably woulda just run in circles screaming..... I do not do well in emergency situations. Thankfully I've never come face to face with one like that!
You got a good kid there Jack. Hope the people involved all come through ok.

You have done a great job raising her,you have every right to be proud of her. Congrats to all of you

We have an update on the badly injured people. The driver..21..is holding his own. The passenger, wesley..31, is suspected to have a brain bleed and almost all the bones in his back were broken. He isn't stable enough for further testing so all everyone can do is wait, hope and pray. His wife is there, they have a 3 year old and shes due in three months. He was an enlisted troop at Cannon AFB..got out and had just returned from Nellis AFB Nv. where he trained on the unmanned drones and had been hired as a contractor at Cannon where the UAVs will be positioned. His outlook isn't good, so we're asking everyone to keep Wes and his family in thier thoughts and prayers.

Very well done...

A bonafide 'burning building' rescue.

Deserving a good Samaritan platinum medal.

Hope Wesley pulls through.

That would make a very nice Christmas day for everyone involved.
