I pulled the Temp Sensor out of Bugsy III's radiator and it works just fine. The metal spring however a broken right at where it attaches to the temp bulb. My thoughts to repair are;

1) a day or two in EvapoRust bath followed by a attempt to solder the spring back to the bulb housing.

2) will solder work?
3) solder type?
4) how to keep the bulb cool

Ideas gentlemen?

Jim,

I would avoid trying to solder. The capillary tube is soldered to the bulb, and you'll end up releasing the ether, ruining the whole affair. I would use JB Weld.

That's a thought I had not considered. JB Weld it is. Thanks Gerard!
