Temp sending unit removal

How do I remove the tempature guage sending unit from the block on my 67 BJ8. I have removed the large nut that holds the sensor in the block.

If you have done that it should just pullout be careful and wiggle it a bit.

I would spray some penetrating fluid in it there might be some rust holding it stuck in there

Yep, be real careful pulling it out or you will break the soldered connection to the bulb and then it will not work any longer. If you have that happen, Nissonger can repair it for you.
