In the early 1950s, Nash introduced the fold-down front seats. By 1957, the Nash Ambassador could make a queen size bed inside the car.

Dads didn't want their daughters to date guys who drove a Nash.

Boy, talk about mixed emotions! If a boy shows up with a properly cool car, I’d be happy… but if it includes a bed….

I guess I might give him the keys to my old Mercedes, knowing he is capable of an old car. Individual bucket seats, but unfortunately the shifter is on the column šŸ˜†

I have more than once had someone tell me it is possible in a Midget if you try hard and have imagination. (I should say 'was possible' as the ones who told me would have their chiropractor on speed dial if they tried it now) :D

If there's a will there's a way!

Yep - from 1950-1954 Nash/Kelvinator built and sold a compact car, the Nash Rambler. In 1954, Nash/Kelvinator merged with Hudson, to form American Motors Corporation. One of the AMC models was the Rambler. (We had a 1957 Rambler Cross Country station wagon.)

Factory air conditioning ("Weather Eye"), fold down front seats, and tailgate window that rolled down. The Cross Country had a 6; the Rebel had a V8. Luxury!

After my first wife and I had a separation.
We were both horny devils and got together in my Fiat 850 Spyder.
Anything is possible if you want it enough.
We went back together after that for a few more years.
Eventually, we made the split legal, but we got together for years after that.

I have been in a 850 Spyder and can verify it is a very small car. In fact it is about the same size as my Sprite.

Any smaller and they could be considered a Clown Car.
