Tell me I don't need another project

Ya know Ben... I think it takes a certain kind to appreciate odd vehicles /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif See, in my view an MGB is ordinary (still a nice sports car, but ordinary) as compared to a Trojan microcar or other rare and unusual European cars...

It certainly would be "at home" on the streets of Europe!! And it HAS to get good mileage!!! Kinda looks like a "streamlined" Isetta!!!

Looks cool, Nial! Sounds like fun and educational at once. I like the bucket seat.

I think you mean 32" wide, not 32' wide, though!

I think my post was mis-interpreted. I wasn't referring to the Heinkel bubblcars, but Trojan's own cars, which they started to make just after WW1 and continued (van only) after WW2 up to the early 50s I think.

I totally agree. In no way knocking an MGB, but other than being old, it's not really an unusual vehicle. I love oddities, and microcars are about as odd as they get.
P.S. Bugimike, I thought it looked like an Isetta that filled it's pants. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

.....An envelope bodied weed whacker.

Hey, hey!

What wrong with ~"Weed Wacker" Vehicles~ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

BIG difference between that THING wot's tryin' to pass as a car and an engineering exercise. I'd rather one of your students' results than that tuna tin masquerading as a vehicle any day. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Trojan was making these...

About the same time they were making these...

Eventually all the race car builders at Trojan/Elva went to McLaren and Elva just went away... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cryin.gif

I do however find some solace in the fact that McLaren is still around.

(and this boy Hamilton is ON FIRE /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif)

Indeed he is. Much talent and great to watch. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Looks like a fun little project. I'd like a microcar or two one day. I can't believe someone fit a bumper sticker on that one.
