Team Lotus F1 team may takeover Caterham

To tell you the truth, I'm sort of [censored] off that there are companies like Virgin, Red Bull and Force India and others that race in formula one. None of their racing relates to the car consumer in any visible way. I like the idea that if you support a team like Renault, you can go out and buy one too. Even if the technology doesn't reach the consumer for fifty years, It's nice to see a Ford, or a Jaguar compete. Next car I buy is going to be a Red Bull???????

Steve, I'd tend to agree, but with the myriad problems faced by FI right now, they're compelled to open up to non-manufacturer participation.

Will FI become simply a faster NASCAR because of this? I don't think so . . . :nonod:
