Teach me about carpeting

I am looking to get some carpeting, I have no interest in doing it myself.

I am having 1200 sq feet installed mid grade. Just for the heck of it, what price range do you think it should fall? I am so ignorant of carpeting prices I will not know if I am being ripped off.

Empire is priced at just under $4800, installed, padding, moving all the furniture, haul away.

Home Depot is at $4500 buts wants extra to do the stairs and haul away.

I have no idea if these are good deals

3 bills for the haul away is almost worth it.

I got eight pound pad with empire, it ran .35 a foot with home depot. I feel I could have done better price with Empire but it was the cheapest already. I had purchasing anything I do not understand, like capreting, cell phone contracts, ect... I want it to be like buying a car when you can go to edmunds, kelley, or any of a number so you know how you are doing price wise

I assume rebond. They came today and did a very good job. I had some concern about them, they said there were Pitcairn but knew of none of the shops from the area, they were driving a van with Mass. licences, a New Jersey Business Advert on the side. The Business was an Italian name but they were obviously of arabic decent. He explained to me he had Mass license plates because that is where his car insurance is from (not sure about that one). They were polite well mannered and we talked about several family members in towns I had the opportunity to visit.

They were pretty funny because as my daughter pulled in I saw the youngest one watching. He went on to explain he was quite a Jetta nut and we walked over and chatted about her car for 15 minutes about her halo lights , rims, and stereo. He has a similar Jetta and it was fun watching him admire her car.

It is times like that when I think there really is no difference in kids, they just want to have some cash, a cool cars, and be able to laugh.

Only issue I have found is they spilled some carpet tacks I found in my bare feet/
