Well, I went to check out the side curtain frames so I can see how much work it'll be to restore them and got a big surprise! Their not TF side curtains! Their for a TD with 3 top free standing bows. I'll swap these out to someone who can get a set of TF ones. Any takers? It sure was a disappointment, seeing how much new ones cost. I'll rebuild an old set if someone has them to trade. Bummer. :cryin: PJ

Paul,

Whats up with the side curtains? I call myself putting them on to see what they looked like.

Their not for a TF Marv, their for a late model TD, that's why the Quarter panel brackets on the rear panels, don't match up with the interior hardware, (the chrome bolt). TFs brackets were straight down, TDs were on an angle. The physical size and measurements are also different. Even the early to the late TDs were of a different size and shape. When including the TC, there's actually 4 different side panel frame sets, all of a different size and shape. I could see where it would be an easy mistake, since they look so much alike. PJ

Look here for details. Once on, scroll down for frame displays.

Include the pre war Ts and there's 5 or 6 different types...

Yes I know Mike. I just used the ones that Moss has listed for an example because of their display and measurements. Thanks for your reply. PJ

Saw some TF side curtains on Ebay a few months back. They looked in better shape than those, I started to bid on them but thought why. Should have. Think they went for around $300

I'm going to hold off on the side curtains Marv, Seeing that they won't be needed until way down the road anyway. I'm thinking when that time comes, I'll probably order the complete side curtain kit and a new matching top at the same time, along with the complete interior of a corresponding color. PJ

I just got word that a set of TF original side curtains are in the works. If that happens I'll have a set of TD curtains on the shelf. Things are coming together. PJ
