Talk About a Garage Find!

Will be interesting to see how this progresses -- these old warbird hunts often turn up nothing. Still, will be very neat to see them found and restored.

You never know. But it seems burying them would have been much harder than doing what was done in many oither places. Bulldozing them into a pile and burning them. Other reports say the crates were sealed and wrapped and tarred to keep out moisture. So if they are indeed there, wonder what the reason was for digging a hole and putting them in??

Maybe they thought they would be needed again in the future.

That would be a great find for the aviation world. The spitfire was one of the great aircraft designs of WW2.

My father told me stories like that. There is a local story of when they finished one of the Hydro Dam projects here, they buried boxes and boxes of tools and equipment instead of moving them.
