My tach has quit and it is not the cable. Who have you used to repair you instruments.

Don

Don,
I've used Nisonger Instruments of New York twice, once on a TR6 tach, and then on a GT6 tach that had to be entirely rebuilt as the PO had converted it to electric drive. Their work is top shelf. They are not cheap, however, charging a flat price irrespective of what is required. They go through the whole thing and fully restore it to perfection.

Don I used them too, and they also refurbised my Tach on my TR6, prior it bounced around at idle, now it steady as a rock at all RPM's, call them first and talk to them, then send it and put explicit instruction in the box as to what you want done

Although they repaired my speedo fine they did not follow my simple instructions or respond to my inquiry.

I have used both Nisonger as well as West Valley Auto Electronics in Reseda, Ca with fine results. West Valley was quite a bit quicker, however. You are in the middle of the country..........take your choice1

I'm not sure if they apply here, but I have used MO-MA in Alburquerque, NM with good results.

West Valley did a great job on my instruments. It's on my website.

Foreign Speedo, Inc in San Diego ( 619 298 5278 ) recently repaired my Smith/Jagger mechanical tach. The magnet assembly was replaced. Total price, $ 115.00
It looks and functions fine , although have no way if they did a Great job. The face looks new, no longer faded, but now looks darker ( perhaps same as when it was new ) which made other instruments not look the same. I suggest asking how the face will be cleaned, polished, etc , so you can duplicate/match the others instruments.
