Tach Drive Mounting

Hi guys,

The parts workshop manual and all the vendor catalogs that I have checked do NOT reference a gasket of any type between the block and the tach drive housing for a BT7. It would appear that one would be asking for a leak (albeit a small one) by not having some type of seal where these metal surfaces join. Any helpful hints on the proper thing to do here? (My first thought is what is proper, my second is, what would you do?)

Well Lin, oil not suppose to run up hill but then this be a Healey, so I probably would put a thin gasket in place.---Fwiw---Keoke- /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
