Hi folks,
I am reinstalling the tach drive housing to the block. Is there supposed to be a paper gasket between the block and the drive housing or just a thin smear of sealant? There wasn’t a gasket there when I took it off.

Thanks.

Lin

My BJ 7 has a paper gasket between tach drive housing and block. Gasket sealant should also suffice. I'm still trying to source a good used tach drive pinion gear a new one is expensive. Gonzo

Steveg. Agreed; it's included in the Engine Conversion Gasket set (for those Healeys equipped with the Distributor Drive Housing).
