Huge event, hundreds and hundreds of hot rods, muscle cars, etc., so last night I took the Healey to the local boulevard where all the cars cruise up and down.

Boy, did I feel like a fish out of water. Of the hundreds of cars cruising, I saw only one other LBC, an MGB. Maybe there were more, I just didn’t see them. A few people recognized the Healey, but most just stared.

We’ve got a ’75 Cadillac Eldorado that my son uses as a daily driver. I was kind of excited to take it and the 3000 to the big show and talk shop today, but after last night I just lost the appetite for it.

Granted, it’s a hot rod show, but it’s also a classic car event, and I just expected there to be more LBC’s. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nopity.gif

Shoulda went Dave, nothing beats a trial but a failure.---Keoke

Took my Healey to Jaguar concours event to see how the other half lives. While they didn't judge anything but jags, they did include non-jags in the people's choice. Now they had some magnificent jags there, but my BJ8 stood out because it wasn't a jag. We took third in People's Choice, with 2 100 point jags taking the top spots.

It's good to be little different. Makes you stand out more and you can only look at so many Hemis.

Sometimes I'm glad you and that Daimler V8 Saloon are on the left coast, or my son would go away empty handed every time.
