Can a factory TR4 front sway bar be fitted to a TR3A at the same mounting points? If not, what are the differences? This is not an Addco bar. Any info is appreciated.

Nope, the TR4 is about 4" wider than the TR3, so the bar is too wide.

Thanks. I have obtained a TR3 sway bar without attachments. So the question is: Will the TR4 end links and bar brackets work with the TR3 bar? TR4 mounts and links are available and TR3 are not.

Seems like I looked at that a long time ago and decided they wouldn't, but don't recall for certain or what the problems were. Different bolt patterns on the frame, maybe. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

Oh, and ditto on welcome to the asylum!

Not sure if this will help but there is a picture in the booklet "More BS about TR's" by Bob Shaller that shows a modified way of mounting the sway bar. Perhaps someone on here can post the pic. I used this method years ago and it turned out very well.

This one?

FWIW, I ran the "less than desirable" ADDCO mounts with my ADDCO bar for roughly 30 years on my previous TR3A. Worked fine for me. I'll have to build mounts to put it on my current TR3 though, as it doesn't have the same kind of bumper brackets.
