Suspension Question

I have new RED poly bushings for the front suspension and while assembling everything today I thought of a question.

The original rubber bushings had a metal insert that also acted as a washer for the bolts. With these new bushings should a washer of any kind be used? While the poly bushings are harder than runner I'm sure they arent as hard as steel!!!

Im sure someone will whink Im asking a silly question but you can never be to sure with suspension.

Thanks!

Yes, a flat washer should be used under the bolt head and the nut, but no insert inside the bushing.
Not a silly question at all.

and while we're on the topic - how do I get the old bushings out?

Hammer and drift pin worked for me, or could use a bit of fire and melt em a bit as well. Careful with that.
