Hi there. The other day when I was getting the tie-rod end of my 75 BGT on the left side I had to jack up under the bolt in order to hit the top of the steering arm. But when doing this found that the car jut lifted with the shock absorber arm only lifting a litle (1mm or so). While on the other side the arm lifted fine. Anyone know of any possible causes and solutions.

Thanks

I'm a bit confused....

As am I. I think we need a more detailed explanationof what is goin' on here.

Tony / Doc, I think he means he took the nut off the tie rod end and put a jack under it to help break it loose while giving it a shock with a hammer on the arm.(???) Sounds like the left shock could be bad if it didn't move up while jacking. Again-(???). Confusing! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gifPJ

I didn't want to be alarmist and say internal shock damage, but it sounds like it to me also.
