We've had a 2000 Dodge minivan for the longest time, and now we also have a 99 B250 Ram Van. I wanted something that got better gas mileage than the minivan for daily use since the only kiddo who goes with us every day is our three year old, and she has always wanted a Camaro. The V6 seemed like a good answer to both. Once all the kids are grown I think we might have to super charge it.
The TR-4 pioneered the removable single panel top later seen on many cars (my 2009 Solstice has one) but the T tops weren't used until later in the 1960s on the Corvettes.
Nothing wrong with the 3.8 V6, BTW - very strong reliable engine. Talk her into a turbo conversion......
Turbos, or maybe a supercharger, are going to come later. There are a few other things to be tinkered with first. And the reliability and strength of the 3.8 V6 is one of the selling points of the car for me, that and the T-Tops.
