Hate to bust your bubble there, Drew, but that slab is definitely listing to port.

Happiness is a warm concrete pad...

Typically we bury 'em under the pad. Course that might just be a Canadian thing.
Doc's in Florida, they just wait for the gators to haul them away...

Drains better that way.

Really does show how much slope I have in that spot, though. Pad is taller than I had expected.

Not so much fill as digging (36" footers). Dug into the slope essentially. Thick concrete.

Was Referring to the fill it will take to bring the yard up to the pad height.
Hate that
Have fun

One suggestion: Ditch Witch!!

Finalized the last of the details, so we're go for building this Thursday. Very excited!

DONE!

Crew came today and got everything up and done in about 8 hours. Hard working guys (and some stuff, like the main wall panels and trusses were pre-built off site). I'm happy.

It's tall and narrow, but my stuff will all fit and it fits on my odd-shaped property lot. Should have the final inspection in the next few days and I'll be able to start moving my stuff in. Should be a nice home for the MGB.

How do you plan to access the second floor?
There's a set of pull-down stairs at the front.

Got the final inspection done this week, passed with no issues. Took some time after work and got everything moved in. Everything fits in fine. Nice to be parking the daily driver in the attached garage too -- will be even nicer come winter!

Nice. Gotta love that loft.

Wife likes to quilt so we painted a "barn quilt" for my shop. Got the idea from seeing them while driving two lane roads in Iowa.

I like the barn quilt (and that's a nice looking shop). Eventually I want to do some sort of decoration over the main doors of mine, will help to break up what is otherwise a tall plain shape.

Foam spray the insulation
Insulation is on my list, just not yet. Need to get electrical run first (probably next year). Got to replenish the cash box first.
