"Support Your Forum"

Hey Team,

Basil posted a note about this (currently the very first item, at the top), but because I think that those notices sometimes get overlooked, I also wanted to add my own note to highlight the white, rectangular "Support Your Forum" button recently added just below the Union Jack in the upper left corner of this page.

To lead by example, I have just made a cash donation via PayPal, and I'd like to encourage everyone else to here to consider doing the same. The value and enjoyment you receive here is -- I think you will all agree -- very significant. If you donate even as little as what half an hour of a professional mechanic's time costs, you will make a significant contribution and show important support for Basil's countless hours and selfless dedication that have benefited us all.

I've decided that I'll make a contribution to the BCF annually- on my Birthday as a "present" to myself. I won't then have to try and remember when I did it last, etc. and it should help give Basil a regular stream of contributions through the year if others do so too....

James, The birthday gift is a great idea. I will continue to make a donation each year. This forum is a wonderful gift that gives every day. Now that it's running a full speed, it's the best.

A dollar/year isn't a bad idea. I just picked a suitable sum.

'Course its then less once the exchange rate kicks in.
