Support for center of dashboard BJ7

I am now fitting my dash on the BJ7, in the original parts book it shows a "panel support bracket" that screws to the center of the dash and then down to the front scuttle somewhere, i guess to hold it steady in the middle.
I can't find my original one of these but i do have a small tab with a whole in that drops down from the center of the dash (where the rear view mirror mounts) was the support bracket changed to this tab ? or is this for something totally different.

It is something completely different. The bracket you are missing supports the bottom of the dash. I have one here in my hand and it will be very easy for you to make a replacement. It is made of steel stock .75" wide and 1/8" thick.
THe total length is 17.75" It has a 90 degree bend that is 2" long where it attaches to the scuttle, two holes drilled for the attaching screws. There is an approximate 10 degree bend in the upward direction where it attaches to the dash that is about 1" long. There is an oval slot cit in this end 1/4" by 5/8" where the dash attaches. Should be very easy to make with a few simple tools.

I take it that the single screw in between the choke & ignition key is where the bracket attaches to the dashboard ?
Then what is the other bracket i mention, it drops down about 2" in between the two mounting holes for the rear view mirror and has a 1/2" hole in it, i guess it is attached to the scuttle top ?

First question. Yes

In the upper center of the dash panel there should be a hole, between the choke and screen washer. THrough that hole a 10-32 philips pan head screw (stainless) and washer are bolted through holding the upper part of the dash tight to the scuttle top. This screw shows and is not covered by vinyl.

I fitted a new dash so don't have the hole or screw but looking at pictures assumed that the screw went through the dash and into this drop down tab from the scuttle top as it all seems to line up.
Then the bracket you suggest obviously fixes onto the bottom of the dash but at what point, have you a photo ?

I think I have an old dash around here somewhere and may be able to get a photo. However, it is not a very precise thing. Bolt the bracket to the firewall and it goes straight to the dash. Drill a hole right there and attach it.

One question, where does the bracket affix to the bottom of the dash, is it where it turns at 90 degree's ?
