Support for a growing forum

I'm next. With the help of the forum I drove my tr to work today. And hopefully all the way home.

I agree with jujubee and Paul:

"it is simply not fair to expect one man to absorb
the expense of running this enterprise, when so many
benefit daily from what he has given us for free for
so long."

What's the cost of a daily newspaper?
We gladly pay that small sum.

dale - Editor in Chief- BCF daily comedy reporter.

PS: Yes, Basil- there really IS a Wendy.

Tinster, many people have absolutely no idea what it takes to put up and maintain such a site on the web - the hardware and software costs, the hundreds of hours upon hours of time spent outside of a "real" job late at night. It is easier and quite a bit less cost to restore an LBC! (maybe not in your case ...)
Then when the forum advice save them literally hundreds in repairs <span style="color: #660000">(well in your case the forum and Pedro costs you hundreds of thousands</span> /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif )
They fail to see that the advice saved them so much money and that advice is worth something.

(gee, would that be "perceived value"?)

Like I said in another crappy topic, we are all part of the same community, (<span style="color: #006600">and yeah, owning and driving a Triumph IS a lifestyle.</span>)

I'm in!

Everyone here has always been very helpful....

How do we kick of a contest between the forums for BCF support? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/winner1.gif

Yeah Glen, you do have a point.

I'd have been maybe $30+K to the good if I had not
stumbled upon Basil's forum and had simply taken
the Crypt Car to the metal recyle center after the
first few $ thousand $$ in repairs.

Soon, I hope to have an operational 1969 TR6.
When that happens, for sure I will have the most
$$,$$$$ costly TR6 on the island.

regards,

d

Maybe in the world!!!

Remember Dale, happiness can never be measured in dollars and cents!

When it's all done, it will have been worth it. You did nearly every bit of it yourself and that alone means a lot.

Look at it this way. If you had gone back to school and taken Automotive 101 right through to a Master Tech Certificate, it would have cost you as much and you would have a degree without bloody knuckles. Now you've done it the hard way and no one can BS you about car repairs again.

For crying out loud, you're writing tutorials and making videos. How many guys are able to do that???

Awright, back on topic. Dale has plenty of threads to discuss car repairs on.

Let's keep those PayPal payments coming. Ya'll don't want to be beat out by a bunch of MG or Spridget drivers, do ya??

Geez, Paul, I've got Triumphs, MG's <u>and</u> Spridgets! What does that make me? (Besides NUTS! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif)

Im in !! And While I may not contribute much to the forum discussion (primarily due to my elementary knowledge and experiences with my Triumph) I do visit the site regularly to read and learn. I would liken this forum to that of an on-line class. How much would that cost??

Donation sent. Its money well spent. Basil keep up the great work its greatly appreciated. Everyone please show your support if possible. Besides just following Tinster & his trials & tribulations is worth the price of admission. Tinster I'm not making light of your situation & am very impressed with your determination & your tech articles are very amazing.

Jeff

To those who have sent donations, THANK YOU! Every bit helps defray the costs and allows for future growth and I appreciate it very much!

Basil

so that you know you have supporters in the Netherlands as well, donation sent. Could have bought a t-shirt, but figured you're better of with hard currency only.
