On the 26th of April (2021) there will be a supermoon. I have been planning a photography outting to capture the supermoon with hopefully an interesting foeground element. Anyone else planning on viewing and/or photographing?

No plans, but thanks for the heads-up. I've been toying with the idea of getting a telescope; totally useless trinket, but then we ARE LBC nuts, aren't we? Thought it would be fun to take on our camping outings, and we've a pretty nice view of the sky here at home, though it's often overcast here. However, one that would view more than just the moon would be a pretty big ticket item. Maybe...

I've toyed with the idea of getting another one from time to time too. I had a pretty decent Edmond Scientific reflector scope for years, but sold it several years ago as I wasnt using it much. Now that I'm retired and have more time I have thought about getting another one. Maybe...

So much "clutter" here it's impossible to get good dark sky without traveling to the middle of the state. A good reflector 'scope would get too little use, sadly.
