I bought the header from Moss. I believe it's their part number 865-018 as currently listed. It's the mild steel version, as I wanted that because I was planning on welding in the O2 sensor bung. They show a price of $530, but when I bought it about six years ago, I remember a price about half that.
I don't really know how much it has contributed to the overall performance of the engine, as there are so many other things that I've done, and they were all done during the restoration. What I will say about the headers are that they were one big PITA to get in properly. The angle of the outlets on the bottom was way off, and I had to heat them up cherry red and bend them into position. Since the torches I was using were at work, it took several tries to get it right. Also, one of the guys in the local Triumph club had the same problem with those same headers from Moss. For that reason alone, I would not recommend them.
What you might want to do is get a hold of Ken Gillanders at British Frame & Engine. I know he carries headers and will set you straight on what's what. He knows as much about modifying TRactor engines as anyone.
