Supercharge Bugeye or TR6?

Given the choice, what would you pick to do? Supercharge a Bugeye or TR6? The 6 is driveable but currently has Strombergs needing a rebuild and other miscellaneous needs for tinkering. The 6 engine was allegedly rebuilt but given that it was only a few miles ago and the front seal is leaking, I have my doubts. The Bugeye is undergoing a full restoration and the body is currently at the blasters. It has a 1275 redone at Rivergate and a 210 trans, front disc changeover also awaits.

I think more fun to lift, or tilt forward, the Bugeye bonnet to reveal the supercharger after whoever was left in the dust catches up.

Always fun to play with new cams, roller rocks, headers and a set of triple bergs with help from GParts and others for the 6.

See where I am heading? Whom among you has two shiny coppers with experience of both or either. Although there is a third consideration whence uttered the word triple.

Cheers

You expect an unbiased answer?

Bias is everywhere, often good, and usually based somewhat on experience. I see from your post that you have a beast along the lines of what I am contemplating but with a newer carry case for the supercharger. I had recently contemplated supercharging both projects, mostly due to the ease versus playing with multi carbs, cams etc.

While installing the flat screen in the garage today, having a beer and looking over the upright bonnet of the 6, and seeing the Harley in need of a fairing, it occurred to me that two superchargers might be overkill.

The difficulty is in determining which was the more appropriate project for the SC. The choice is for the Bugeye but given that I make too many decisions prematurely I thought I might throw it out to the group to see if I missed anything in my haphazard analysis. Put the same test to the Triumph group to keep the bias somewhat equal.

I think the TR6 would give you more bang for the buck with a supercharger, but a supercharged bugeye is more thrilling. With a bugeye, it is about the noise commotion and your proximity to it. The TR6 shelters you from some of the sensations that many of use yearn for after driving modern cars.
