Supercar Sunday Photos

Today was the last Supercar Sunday of the year, and the weather turned out to be very nice! There were at least 200 cars at any one time, probably at least 300 total.

There were a few cars of note. One is a 4 MILLION DOLLAR vintage Ferrari race car. Also note the real 1955 Porsche Spyder. One car I have never even seen before, a Chrysler Newport, has a really neat "Buck Rodgers" looking dashboard. Also check out the Noble, a high-performance sports car made in England!

Then there is the usual assortment of Cobras (both real and fake), lots of stupidly expensive super cars, etc. A couple neat Model As showed and a few nice hot rods as well. My MG YB was one of only two MGs there. I had a Christmas wreath on the front and coincidently ended up next to a Christmas-themed Porsche Speedster with old wooden skis on the back. Neat!

I kinda went crazy on the photos with my wife's little point and shoot. It's so easy to get snapshots compared to lugging a big camera around! There are over 200 photos on this page: https://www.mgnuts.com/supercarsunday123106

Amazing selection of cars, I never see anything that good here! I'll quit whining now

Love that 356 with the skies on the back...

Love that ratty old Nissan Skyline...

Love that Honda N600, especially as parked next to that Golden Hawk coupe... I know only I would say that... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

That Datsun Z-Car 4x4 is a waste of a car! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

Thanks for sharing--looks like it was quite the gathering.

That is one thing great about SoCal - on almost any Saturday or Sunday, one can get a glimpse at some spectacular machines. Thanks for sharing the great photos Steve.

Yeah... The classic car scene (in terms of fantastic cars) generally bites up here in Calgary, there are times I wish I was able to see all the neat cars down in SoCal, I just have to bite my tongue and think of all the good reasons for living for Calgary, there are some, really... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Well, it isn't every day you see stuff like this. Once per month there are a few gatherings. This is one of the larger ones I know of. New Year's Day is always a good time to sit at an overlook and watch cars come and go.
