Sunshine in Seattle

With the thermometer in the mid 50's and sun breaks, I decided that it was time to get the cobwebs out of the Weber and enjoy a brisk run. Spent about an hour and a half on back roads and only saw one other convertible with the top down. Since it was a newer Mercedes AMG, I bet he cheated and had heated seats!

Great Jeanne!
We went out for a run around the area but I didn't take the hardtop off, afterall is is still winter and the rains will return!

Did the car continue to run without too much vibration?
Hope so and "Congratulations"!!

Good on y'all for getting out there and driving. I looked at my poor Bugeye today, that's as good as I can do.

Bill, you know it never rains in Seattle! You don't need a top, you just have to drive faster to miss the raindrops.

Jeanne, I've been trying to get hold of you to see if you are interested in joing the caravan to Wisconsin for the big one in 2011. Bill M should have more details... Will we see you in BC in the Spring?

Susan and I were out today top down as well. We don't evan have a working top at the moment. The only other car we saw top down was also a red AMG on South bound I5, then out to some back roads in the Snohmmish area. Good day.

Here in Dayton, 1 degrees this AM and Bugsy is outside under cover with 8-10" of snow in the driveway and on top of him. Hopefully my basement tile project will be complete next weekend, I can get my garage back from all the crap that got moved from the basement and Bugsy can go back in the garage for some winter welding and sheetmetal work. 3 Hours of grouting left to do and then baseboard. The end is in sight. Horray!!! Hopefully a little bit of warmer weather in the forecast for next week and some of this white stuff will melt. I'm ready for Spring already.

Bill, it's running great, but could be better. The mechanic is going to go through my carbs this coming weekend. Rebuild them, put new needles in, install the vacuum advance port and get it all done. It should be 100% when he's done. I'm totally enjoying driving it....finally!

Paul- The sun DOES always shine in Seattle.
Usually over 10,000 feet, as reported by the test flight crew of the 787.

I took Elizabeth out a couple of times today.....tried to get the top down, but it appears to be welded into the body somehow, and it wouldn't budge.

So, rolled the windows down and put on the gloves, and off I went!

I like the tshirt that I saw at the Space Needle -

"Seattle Rain Festival - January 1st to December 31st"
