"Casino Royale"

Daniel Craig is THE James Bond of note, IMO. And the 'feel' of the newer Bond flicks is FAR better than the gizmo laden prior ones. Much closer to Fleming's stories.

No No No

It's young Bruce Willis doing a Die Hard script - even the girlfriend drowns. Bond would never get blood on his tux shirt or even break a sweat.

Of course I'll still watch it and Quantum of Solace was better IMHO. I do agree that campy is goofy but Sean is the only Bond (and Pierce too)

On the other hand, Bond is like sex - when it's good it's great and when it's bad it's still good.

I feel your pain.

Greg,

That's a picture that I don't want to even imagine!
BTW,my Wife rented "G Force" for our Grandaughter yesterday.
I went through the credits looking for your name.I didn't
find it.I'll try again tommorrow.
Wow! I KNOW someone in the movies.

Your eyes aren't going Doug. I saw the movie a couple weeks ago and my name wasn't in the credits. No big deal.

I like the new ones better too. The action is grittier. I have mixed emotions about the gadgets. I'm glad they are gone, but I was looking forward to the scenes with John Cleese as the new Q. I gotta say, having a defibrillator in the glove box was pretty stupid. I mean how many times would even a spy need one?

Methinks if Bond has enough cargo space for a defibrilator, the car's coddling the driver too much. He needs a Lotus. :smirk:

Yup.

The original Connery movies were good, and I really liked "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". After that, eh.... the Craig movies have been good.

I did think the scene using a GPS to navigate from the seaplane to the hotel in Nassau was a little bit of a reach if you know the place. That's kind of like me needing a GPS to find the publix around the corner.

Did a GPS help you there?
