Sunbeam Alpine nearing completion

The graphics are on the car and the short block should be back withing the month. This car was the old Skip Adrian/Tommy Elliot Alpine that raced in the Northern California area from 1967-68. Almost time to find another Sunbeam race car project. I'd love to locate the old Hollywood Sport Car Alpine that Jerry Titus raced.

Cool. Do you have a close-up photo of the steering wheel? How many spokes go down?

Re: Sunbeam Alpine nearing completion

No close up of the steering wheel but it is just the stock Alpine/Tiger 14" wheel they ran in the 60's (Similar to this one on Ebay #270120595390).

I may change it to the Moto-lita which would be a bit stronger but on the other hand I don't mind the look of the stock wheel.

Nope, Bugeye. I tried, but my arrow fell wide of the mark.

I'd like to see a steering wheel from one of those earlier Alpines, though. You know, like the one Ingrid Bergman drove in that movie with Cary Grant?

Here's one of the early ones being restored...

Ok, what's the mystery?

Steve

Close, but no joy; 4 spokes across and 4 spokes down.

Steve, see Post #281364 in the Pub Forum on 04/16/07. I don't know how to send you directly to it. I'm sure someone does, though.
