Sun Roof

I have a 73 MGB GT with a mechanical sun roof. The former own told me that the company which had parts is out of buisness. I need parts (cables) and a manual if available. Anyone have any ideas where I could obtain them. The books in the auto stores don't show the sunroof at all. Thanks

No, it was made in Germany according to the old owner. It is metal. When activated it drops down slightly and slides back between the headliner and the roof.
Thanks

Havr you cross refrenced it to any other cars. It sounds like what used to be in Mercedes or Volvos. That may give you a lead.
Most of our "sun roofs" are vinyl or fabric, and dissasemble or fold behind the seats /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

I have been told this is a rare item on a MG. I still hope to find a manual or factory sheet on the sun roof.

I am going to try again to get someone interested in helping me find out about a sun roof on a 73 MGB GT. It is a metal sunroof that slides back between the headliner and the roof. The sun roof is metal and looks factory made. I need to find a was to get diagrams or plans so I can get or made cables for it. Thanks
