Summer road trip [Western U.S.]

Finally had an automotive setback. Sitting under a tree in Buhl, ID waiting on a tow truck. Thermostat housing disintegrated. Dealership only part so we'll be visiting the Twin Falls. Ford dealership.
 
GAH!!! Apparently bubble gum was outta th' question.

Hope it was without major pain and you can PRESS ON. :wink:
 
Tow truck guy was awesome, we had a fun time with him.

Got to the dealership. They didn't have the parts and thought it might take a couple days.

Set the kids loose, was quickly informed they found some of the parts and they were looking for one last missing o-ring. Finally found it and we were on our way a couple hours later. :smile:

Some times having a rambunctious 2 year old is a very useful thing. :wink:

Now we're settled for the night in Ogden Utah. A couple hours later than planned, but on track.

The thermostat housing in question was made of plastic.... Stupid.

Enjoy your stay in Utah. Sorry the weather's not very good here right now... we're not really having summer this year. Budget cuts, you know...
 
The weather's been great so far! Had a lovely rain storm after we stopped driving last night (they're much more enjoyable when you're not driving in them).

Plus, after seeing the Phoenix weather of late we're questioning the wisdom of going home.

Doc,

Our 6 year old Granddaughter drives us crazy.You can borrow
her for expenses (hers & mine,that way I get a free trip out of it).
Maybe you've got a great idea here - rent her out to annoy people.
