Summary of ncbugeye neg-earth conversion

This is now complete and ncbugeye is back on the road.

I rotated the battery through 180 degrees so the negative terminal goes to the chassis ...

... removed the pos-earth Pertronix ignitor and reinstalled points. I rewired the coil according to the standard wiring diagram in the book for a 1275cc engine ...

... rewired the fuel gauge, straightforward ...

... swapped the two wires on the horn, not sure if this was necessary, but it was trivial to do ...

... did not touch the wipers, they work as well as Bugeye wipers ever work ...

... do not have a heater fan installed at the moment - mine died of plastic fatigue, still looking for a replacement case, early type ...

I hate the new Facet fuel pump - it makes a foul noise - the sooner I can get my SU pump rebuilt the better, but Dave Dubois is currently recovering from an injury.

Next you take it around the block think of poor Miss Agatha.

Not so hard was it? You will be happier!! I do not think you had to mess with the horn either! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
