Well my 3rd car cover has finally crumpled to dust. Until I get a car port built (which will not be soon) a cover is all that protects my poor little car from the elements.

Can anyone suggest a long lived car cover that can be purchased on a tight budget?
 
The "Noah" covers (google it) are very good for the price. They're made to fit your car, and last a long time. A good-fitting cover is important because if it doesn't fit well, the loose parts will flap on the paint and scratch your car.

I've had a couple of Noah covers, never disappointed.

Whatever you buy, be sure the cover breathes, or allows an air exchange. A non-permeable cover will cause the metal surface of the car to sweat, creating moisture/rust/rot.

I second the Noah. Weathershield has a different technology fabric out there that seems good also https://www.carcoverusa.com/WeatherShield-Car-Cover.html . My brother has one of those and likes it. It is much lighter weight than my Noah cover which is both good (easy to pack up and store in a small space, washable at home) and bad (gives no padding for car door bumps, etc, is difficult to deal with in the wind). Those aren't cheap covers (not the most expensive either) but I've found that with cheap covers you get what you pay for.
 
How about a source for a nice cheep one. Just for covering a bugeye without a top in the garage.

Keeps the dust and dirt off don't you know.
