Exhaust system finish in 304 brushed stainless yesterday. Today I filled fluids, 1 ¾ gallons of Rowe coolant, and 6 quarts Valvoline VR1 oil.

So I was ready to spin engine to build oil pressure I thought? All I got was a click, bad solenoid!! So I’ll just have to wait until a new replacement arrives, Oh well?

Wow does that look good. I can see myself in that gas-tank!

All connections and grounds good and tight? Sure the battery is hot? Might'a missed something.

Old Man Murphy strikes again!

Reminds me of when I first fired up my Bugeye many years ago. My buddies had come up from CT on a Sunday to help with the event. When I attempted the start-up, the starter was no good. Luckily, I was close to a long-time MG dealer that still had a lot of Spridget parts in stock. Even luckier, their home was next to the dealership. So we all trooped down to the garage, rang the doorbell at the house next door and pleaded for them to open up the garage and sell us a new starter, which they did. Got back home, installed the starter and fired it up with the LCB header and no muffler. Sounded great, but I'm not sure the neighbors agreed.

That car has way too many performance goodies to just be a show car, but also too pretty to drive... My money says driving and showing. Vintage racing?

Also Blue, I'd love to see pics of the car in your profile.

BlueMax,

What are your plans for this car? It's truly beautiful. Will it be a show car or getting street use?

It should be getting used as a photo prop for a naked chic calender before either of those things happens.
My .02...

Thanks guys!! The Bugeye will be used for shows and some spirited driving… It stable mate will be used for the same.
