Success! Maiden voyage complete without walking

Not that it was far (not registered yet) but I who the heck cares. No walking or AAA involved - much to my wife's surprise I might add. LOL.

Oil pressure remained good even when hot, no whining from the differential, and no syncho issues. Brakes need to be bleed again, but they work. I even got the handbrake to a semi-effective state.

Lots and lots to do still, but I've found few things are better to keep you engaged than a running and drive project.

You know, I forgot a major item.

I forgot to say THANK YOU to everyone that has been helping me learn these cars and how to keep them running.

Thanks guys - I truly do appreciate the help and coaching.

Congrats, Tom! I just got back from a 2 1/2 hr run myself. Which car did you take out? Spitfire?

Hi John - speaking of congratulations it looks like you have a new mechanic on the way. Good for you!

I actually sold the Spit to a fellow BCF'er, this was the 'new' TR6.

Did you head down to Santa Cruz, or hit Sky Line?

Julian - it's been way hot here as well. Had the fans cranked big time...

Re: Success! Maiden voyage complete without walkin

Tom, thanks for the kind words.
I took the car up Big Basin Way (Hwy 9) to Skyline and up to 92 and over to Half Moon Bay. Then back by way of 280 due to time and foggy cold temps. Otherwise I would have gone down 1 to Santa Cruz and back via 17. Always a great drive no matter which variation of those routes you take! Did you used to live in the area?
