No photo but you should not really nead that part if you have the rest.
That bottom part protects the carbs from heat from the exhaust manifold comming off the bottom. It is full length, and about four inchs wide curved down and back toward the engine. Nice easy curve.

Here is a pic of the shield I am repairing. You can see the remaining bit of the rear section that has fallen off.
I got some very good photos over at Spritespot , showing the complete shield. We are having a debate on whether the long descending section attaches anywhere - possibly to the exhaust clamp?

Yes, I worked that out. I have pored over all the books and other sources I can find, and there seem to be at least 3 types of shield for H1s. The original was without the fuel pump section, then there was a small section that just curved down and back, and also there was the one with the long descending bit. I'm doing this for a standard car and I think the owner will use a mechanical pump. So I am just going to add the small rear section. Thanks for all your help folks.jlaird said:
