Another tip
If no one has thought of it already - If they did why did they not tell me about it years ago !
As a spin off from the installation of the rear crank oil seal conversion, the tool I used ( a piece of bent coat hanger wire with the end flattened for 6 mm and bent through 90 degrees )for assembling the spring into the seal doubles up as a dash pot lifter when checking the carb settings. My fingers are a bit podgy and I find it difficult to get at those little buttons tucked away below the dash pots, so tried the bent coat hanger, worked a treat. As an added tweak it would be nice to punch a little depression into the flat section to locate on the slightly rounded end of the button.
