went to look at Moss for a rebuild kit for my HS2's = $130 !!

For a rebuild kit?!

Most carb rebuild kits I've ever bought are around $20.

You may not need an entire "kit" depending what is included. You may be better off just getting Joe Curto to send you what you need.

Moss is high but they have a good selection. I will buy there if I can’t find it any where ells. I bought a kit local and it was $150.00.

Do they still cruse Peoria?

Joe charges $410 to rebuild a pair of HS's.

You can purchase very complete kits from Berlen Fuel systems in England, but whether it is a good deal or not depends on the exchange rate. Berlen now owns the SU carb line. Lots of good info on their site. The catalog also has a wealth of information

Right now, the kit for two carbs is $90.00 but with an outrageous $40.00 shipping charge the cost is up to $130.00, so no savings over the Moss kit. I am not sure you get all the items with the Moss kit that you do with the Berlen kit. The Berlen kit even has new throttle shaft bushings in the rare case you should need them to refurbish a worn out carb body.


A year of so ago, the kit was $85.00 and shipping was $25.00 for two kits, so it was a better deal.

I don't know what year spridget you have, but British Parts Northwest has kits for $35-$40, for each carb. The picture shows needles and jets included. Some kits don't include them, so, if you don't need those, you might find a kit for even less.
