...so we've been having this problem with battered and missing barn cats...set a trap up a week ago...so far 2 possums, 1 raccoon and today a skunk...so I'm bending down close to take a gander saw the tail go up...need I say more...cripes I STINK!!!

Whoh, need to turn down the sniffer on the laptop.

Next time warn us! :eeek:

You know you can keep a skunk from smelling if you hold its nose.

You say you had battered and missing barn cats and you caught a smelly fellow in your trap??? I think I know who it is:

"Permit me to introduce myself. I am Pepe Le Pew, your lover."
"When you are a skunk, you learn 'ow to 'old your breath for a long time."

<span style="color: #FF0000">TOMATO JUICE</span>

Mixed with Tabasco Sauce and Vodka. Won't help the smell, but drink enough and you won't notice.

I think I'd go with Bill's remedy first.

ah, your using too large a trap, i found that if the skunk is not able to lift its tail it cant sprits!, hope you find the same!, :yesnod:

Alrighty then...tried Bill's remedy first and thought the stench had pretty much wore off...when the wife got home she made it very clear it had not....so I proceeded to woof-woof and howl extensively to gain the wife's consent to perform Steve's recommendation on me in the tub...NOT...so a sponging down with vinegar and long shower must of had some effect...the wife let me sleep in bed!!!!

...now I need to go check the trap again...
