Just got this email from Chris McMillin - "Stunflyr" on the forum:

"How are you doing. I hope all is well with you and family. I'm in a very tight mess right now and I'm very sorry for involving you in my present issue but I was left with no choice but to contact you. I would have called you but my phone keeps showing No signal here due to bad network...

I took a urgent visit to Ukraine to see my sick sister who is suffering from a critical Uterine fibroid and must undergo a hysterectomy surgery to save her life. The news of her illness arrived to me as an emergency, she's going through a lot of pain at the moment and she needs family support to keep her going.

The doctors have advised that it is necessary that the tumor is operated soon to avoid any complications. I hope you understand my plight and pardon me.
The estimate for the Hysterectomy surgery is 9,000$. I have already spent approx. 6,750$ cash towards her treatment so am wondering if you can assist me with a loan of 2,250$ to make the necessary arrangement for the surgery to be carried out.
Your help and support will give her a chance to live a normal life once again. I will surely pay you back as soon as I return.
I will appreciate whatever you can help me with. Kindly let me know if you can be of help so I can send you my western union details since I cannot operate my bank account from here...I promise to pay back as soon as I return home.
Thank you
Chris"

I'm really concerned ..... Wasting this money on his sister is going to set back the progress on his Healey-Jamaican.

(I'm sure Chris and his sister are fine - he just posted on the Robin Williams thread yesterday afternoon)

You can not waste money on a Sister Particularly if you are saving her life,a sister is priceless--Keoke

My elderly Father-in-Law fell for one of those scams. He was out about $3K, and when the scammer came back for more, he told us about it and we put a stop to it. Couldn't recover the original $3K though.

Rick--

While you are writing your check please up it by $3k from me--I'll reimburse you right away.

Keoke - It's a scam letter and my post was tongue-in-cheek. Since Chris was just posting here yesterday afternoon, we can safely assume he wasn't flying to the Ukraine to be with his sister. Sorry you misunderstood.

Sure, please send me your bank account number, date of birth, credit card numbers and social security account number so I can verify the check is actually from you when I receive it. I'd hate to cash someone else's check by mistake.

OK Rick:

I did not realize that was a scam letter.
Sorry bout that :welcoming:

Plus I was so busy cancelling these Nigerian E Mails trying to make sure no Ebola got in.:hororr:

From Chris on the MG Experience:

"I didn't do it, I'm not there, I'm fine. I've been hacked!! Don't send money, send flowers to your nearest charity (or something like that).

Thanks for your concern, Rick. I like western Europe as the farthest east for future reference!

It's a great day, Michael is eighteen years old and the child support goes to him directly now. He also got his drivers license.

Yeah, it has been a crazy day, lost a tire on the SHO Taurus with two nails in one tire, and then Jon Stokes found the tires are no longer available so bought 'er all four new Bridgestones.

MGB tire and tube a write off, luckily one was available even though they are discontinued too. I got my replacement carbs to overhaul and use as a test group. Should be back on the road next week.

That is all.

Chris..."
