Stump the band: small car undercover

Found this while puttering around some neighborhood around Lexington Park MD Saturday afternoon. I have no clue what this could be, it's pretty small, that's for sure. Any guesses? I'm hoping the kinda unique decklid shape might give it away.

Looks like some average car that has a spoiler on the back giving the cover that shape.

Or luggage rack?

looks like a luggage rack on the back...theres also an annenae on the passenger side so don't let it throw you off on the roof line shape....Doesn't look like that bad of an area, the best thing to do is take a peak under the cover and find out.
Whatever it is it's been there awhile, note the rust staining on the driveway around it.
I think I'd guess an MG Midget.

It does look like a spoiler rather than luggage rack because of the way the RR folds at the taillight, too close to be a rack. Agree on the antenna on RF. Looking at the rear wheels and between them, it has the feel of front wheel drive. Still, the RR looks Midget like, but then the rear top bow seems too high. But it seems also that there is no top, so what looks like a rear top bow or roof line is likely a roll bar. Look at the way the cloth drops just forward of that. Oh well. Uncle.

I can't quite make it out (1-800-DECdens)

Is there a number? pics don't show that well on my puter.....if there is someone call it...'hi...uh a picture of the car covered over in your driveway was posted on a forum...."the lot of us couldn't figure out wat it was so we diecided to go directly to the source."........."uh huh"(hang-up)

Yep, 1-800-DEC-DENS. I can almost make out the website, but not quite.

err..."www.deckdens.com" mebbe? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

Nope, the first bit is "www.Jim........." or something like that.

hmmm.... never looked twice.

My guess was a TVR or Marcos, but didn't go back.

There's a TR3/MGA-looking car under a cover in a carport here, and I've never seen it uncovered. I really want to just walk up and peek (or knock on the door and ask.)

It's been years!!!

I've found the best way is the most direct.
Knock on the door & ask.
Or (if you're driving a sports car),lift up the cover
& look.

Actually there was someone puttering around the front of the house (on the other side of the van) but we wimped out on stopping and asking. We probably woulda got bonus points for getting out and lifting the cover and then being caught doing so, but at least I wouldn't have to go to the experts here to ask what the heck that car is.
